60 to 65 ...
Excellent Canoeing or Kayaking. (Big Shoals easy Class II whitewater) 65 and
above - Probably a Class III.
58 to 55
... Great Canoeing or Kayaking. Guess Big Shoals - to be about a Class I
whitewater
55 to 53
... Fine Canoeing or Kayaking.
53 to 52
... Good Canoeing or Kayaking.
52 to 51.6
... OK but many shoals.
51.6 and below
- Extremely low water. Lots of rocks and shoals.
Not recommended for inexperienced paddlers due to canoe
damage. "Little Shoals" are also now a problem. Use caution! They can be
deceiving.
